Industrial Hygiene Monitoring Services

Industrial Hygiene Monitoring Services

For Compliance with Work Safe BC "Industrial Health and Safety Regulations" is mandatory in the province of BC. Employers need to know if their place of business is in compliance with the regulations and if not how compliance may be achieved.

Workplace monitoring can take the form of preliminary onsite investigations or detailed onsite investigations. Preliminary onsite investigations are conducted by performing a cursory walk through of the workplace to identify chemical, physical, and biological hazards that are present in the workplace. No sampling is conducted during the preliminary walk through. After the hazards are identified a detailed survey is carried out to measure compliance of those stressors that may be in the action level (50% of the ACGIH TLV). The detailed survey is designed to take into account among other things worker expsoure and control measures necessary to reduce occupational hazards.

Sampling conducted during the detailed site investigation may include but is not limited to occupational sampling, area sampling, and bulk sampling.
